A broad group of bi-partisan Senators have released a document detailing their “pillars” of reform.  See document below.  This does not spell out specific legislation – only the foundation upon which future legislation will be based.

Hot on the heals of the Senate announcement we have our first bill

A group of Senators have introduced bill S. 169 – Immigration Innovation (I2) Act of 2013 – affecting and modernizing H-1B, employment-based immigration visas and student visas.  Below is a link to Senator Hatch’s summary of the bills key points.

Senate’s Immigration Reform Plan Due This Afternoon

A bi-partisan group of senators have reached a deal on their vision on comprehensive immigration reform.  The plan, to be outlined this afternoon, is apparently a high-level overview lacking in specifics.  News reports suggest it overlaps the President’s own plan in important ways.  Stay tuned as details emerge.
